ignite our souls
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10: 23-25
My child,
Hold tightly to your hope in me. I am worth it. The more time we spend together in deepening connection, the more you will desire my flawlessly faithful company.
I know you have dealt with a lot of duplicity and deception in your life. Humans can be that way. I cannot. My words are always right, true and life-giving. Listen as I sing my love song over your heart today.
As you walk with others, inspire them by sharing our love story. Constantly remind them that I love them, also, with a perfect, infinite, eternal love. I am eager to pursue a fervent relationship with each one I have created. Encourage one another with this truth.
For my body of believers to move gracefully in the good deeds I have choreographed for you, the hands and feet must move in rhythm with the arms and legs. This only happens by the power of my Spirit and through your dedication to practice.
You all need continuous experience at moving in unison under my direction, accomplishing my plans and purposes. Commit steadfastly to me and one another. You cannot imagine the beauty we will create together.
I love you,
Abba
My Abba,
Thank you for caring for me so tenderly. Thank you for giving me a deep desire for your presence, but also, for recognizing my frailty. Thank you for your perfect faithfulness to me in my weakness.
Show me powerful ways to love and encourage the people you place on my path. Sometimes I grow weary of learning to live well with others. My self-centered tendencies paired with their less-than-graceful steps can create a disjointed dance with a lot of sore toes, instead of an inspiring, graceful waltz. Forgive me.
During this time of social distancing, sometimes, the “meeting together” has taken some creativity. Please don’t let us lose heart. I know the church has had many formidable challenges to cohesive fellowship over the centuries, but you have still brought supernatural unity. Knit our hearts closer together, even when, we may not physically be together.
Please make our hearts passionate for you, your people, plans and purposes. I want us to dance to the melody for which you designed us. Ignite our souls with your song. Please show us your steps, and give us the power to follow your lead.
I love you,
Mollie
