“For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.”

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  As Scripture says, ‘Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.’”

“’I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.’” Romans 10:2-4, 9-11, 20

My child,

I am glad for your zeal. But I want your zeal to always be steeped in reality – true knowledge of me. Many in your culture believe they should have the freedom to shape me into a god fashioned by their own tastes. Someone in keeping with current whims.  Someone politically correct, ground down by the tides of your times.

To them, I am so last century. My ways are clearly not their ways. And my thoughts are definitely not their thoughts. Don’t be tempted to use a filter on my features when some might not find them attractive. An authentic relationship with me won’t flourish in the soil of self-deception.

Proclaim the good news about who I am, unabashedly, all the days of your life. My truth is going out to the ends of the earth and you can be a part of that.

I revealed myself to you, even though, you were not seeking me. There are others just like you. I am reaching out to wayward, stubborn ones. Come with me as I reveal myself to them. Some will accept my offer and their transformation will be stunning. You won’t want to miss this.

I love you,

Abba

My Abba,

Thank you for giving me a growing passion for you. I want to experience you more deeply each day as you fuel my desire to live for your glory. Thank you for reminding me that my forever connection with you is made possible by Christ’s righteousness, not mine. Thank you for your fierce faithfulness to me. Because your provision is faultless, I will never have to march in the shame parade again.

I would ask that you equip me with everything I need on a daily basis to proclaim your good news to those who might not have the slightest notion they need you. Thank you for revealing yourself to me, even though, I wasn’t seeking you. I had no clue you wanted a relationship with me.

Then, you opened my eyes. And, there you were! Utterly magnificent, yet deeply concerned for me! Spectacularly powerful, yet tender! Perfectly just, yet absolutely merciful!

Don’t let me write off the ones who look self-sufficient and disinterested in you. I was one of those. Don’t let me overlook the self-confident, successful, seemingly put-together ones. I was one of those. Don’t let me ignore the busy ones who don’t seem to have time for you. I was one of those.

Give me your heart for everyone who crosses my path. Please pour out your love through me today!

I love you,

Mollie
